According to the report by TechRadar global, the new OnePlus 8 series is going to launch in the second week of April. The information has been revealed by its close source to the company. “The source expects this to be a global announcement, so this is likely to be the same date that the phone is unveiled all over the world,” the report said. However, the source did not confirm any details of the upcoming smartphone. But as per previous leaks this time the company will be unveiling not two smartphones like every year but three devices namely OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite. Recently, we also came across some hands-on images of the OnePlus 8 Pro that were shared on Twitter. The leaked images revealed the form factor of the forthcoming device. By looking at the image we could only get an idea of the camera setup as the phone was protected with a translucent protective sleeve. It is clearly visible that the phone will have a similar camera module just like its predecessors OnePlus 7. The smartphone will be featuring a vertically placed camera module in the centre of the device. The camera system consists of three camera sensors and the LED flash is visible below it while an additional camera sensor was seen placed on the right side of the camera system. The additional sensor is expected to be a 3D ToF camera. Another leak suggests that the phone might get an IP rating for water and dust resistance. However, it is still not sure whether the OnePlus phones will get an IP67 or IP68 rating. Besides this, the company has also joined Wireless Power Consortium that indicates that OnePlus 8 lineup will be offering wireless charging support. The company’s name was spotted among the members’ list on the website which also includes other brands such as Apple, Samsung, LG, Oppo, HMD Global, Asus among others.
