Apple has been involved in a lot of controversies when its hired employees were found hearing private conversations via Siri, which raised the concern about user’s privacy and safety. As per the latest report by Macrumors in iOS 13.2 beta update the users get an option to delete the history of Siri also there is an option to opt-out of sharing the audio recording with the company. Apple came up with a new option to allow the iPhone and iPad users to delete Siri as well as Dictation history and it has also added a new option to opt-out of sharing audio recordings. Earlier a report by The Guardian claimed that the company’s employees have been regularly hearing confidential details of users while assessing their audio recordings. “There have been countless instances of recordings featuring private discussions between doctors and patients, business deals, seemingly criminal dealings, sexual encounters and so on. These recordings are accompanied by user data showing location, contact details, and app data,” Now the company has started rolling out iOS 13.2 beta update in which it has also added the new privacy features that were promised earlier. Apple has also explained how Siri’s recordings are being used. “Help Improve ‌Siri‌ and Dictation by allowing Apple to store and review audio of your ‌Siri‌ and Dictation interactions on this iPhone and on any connected Apple Watch or HomePod. You can change this later in the settings for each device. This data is not associated with your Apple ID, and will only be stored for a limited period.” Within the Settings app, there is a privacy section in which you will find an option to turn off the “Improve ‌Siri‌ & Dictation”. Also, you will now get an option to entirely delete Siri’s recordings within the Siri‌ section of the Settings app. ”Delete ‌Siri‌ & Dictation interactions currently associated with this iPhone from Apple servers. Data that has been sampled to help improve ‌Siri‌ and Dictation is no longer associated with this iPhone and will not be deleted.” For the latest gadget and tech news, and gadget reviews, follow us on Twitter, Facebookand Instagram. For newest tech & gadget videos subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
