This generous move by the company serves the purpose of providing educational content to the kids when all the schools have been temporarily shut down due to coronavirus. The working parents can also use these educational movies to keep their kids busy when they are feeling bored at home, also it can be watched together which means more movie watching in your free time.  Netflix usually charges a monthly subscription fee from the users for watching video content on its platform. But the company has now decided to provide a selection of documentary features and series available without having to pay any subscription.  “For many years, Netflix has allowed teachers to screen documentaries in their classrooms. However, this isn’t possible with schools closed. So at their request, we have made a selection of our documentary features and series available on the Netflix US YouTube channel,” the company in its blog post said.  According to the company each title has educational resources available that can be both used by students and teachers. Furthermore, it will be doing Q&As with some of the creators behind these projects so that students can hear from them firsthand. At the moment all the documentaries are available in English. However, the company promised to make subtitles available in more than a dozen languages later this week. The company also recommends the parents as well as the teachers to check the ratings before so that they can make informed choices for your students and children.  Below is the full list of documentary films and series:
