Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5i smartphones are expected to launch in China on June 21. It is speculated that both the handsets will be launched at the same event. Huawei Nova 5 is the successor of the Nova 4 handset and it will pack upgraded internals. The company took to Weibo to confirm that it will be launching the Huawei Nova 5i and Nova 5 smartphones. It is worth pointing out that Huawei Nova 5i has already been leaked on certification website TENNA, and it has been stated there that the handset will sport a 6.4-inch full HD+ display. The device is expected to be powered by the company’s own Kirin 710 SoC and it will pack either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The device is said to come with 128GB of onboard storage. It is also worth noticing that Huawei Nova 5i’s 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants have been spotted on Geekbench. The smartphone will come with a quad rear camera setup that will comprise of a 24MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a ToF camera. The device will also house a fingerprint scanner on its back panel and come with an LED flash. The Huawei Nova 5i also houses a 3,900mAh battery and runs Android 9.0 Pie skinned with EMUI 9.
As of now, the details of the Huawei Nova 5 smartphone are unknown, but it is expected to be powered by a powerful processor. Most likely, the handset will run the Kirin 970 SoC or Kirin 980 SoC.
