BenQ 24-inch eye care monitor GW2480T is best suited for middle school students in digital learning with height adjustment feature. According to the company, the monitor has been developed keeping in mind the fact that small displays of laptops and tablets might affect students’ vision and bone development. With the combination of LED and IPS technologies, the monitor delivers authentic colours, deeper blacks, higher contrast and sharper details. At the launch, Rajeev Singh, Managing Director of BenQ India said, “All of us are aware of the changes that technology can bring to children’s learning. Though laptops and tablets are convenient, evidence shows that the number of young children with short-sightedness is increasing. This makes parents pay more attention to their children’s eyesight. BenQ has been devoted to developing eye-care technology for many years, and believes that the application of technology can help students reduce the risk of potentially developing myopia or other vision problems.” BenQ GW2480T monitor has been aligned with an ideal viewing distance of 60 to 70 cms. The monitors come with adjustable functions such as height adjustment, tilt, pivot and swivel monitor adjustments. The monitor also comes equipped with the company’s own Brightness Intelligence Technology. The ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen by identifying the brightness levels in the environment. Whereas Flicker-Free Technology helps to remove the screen flicker that is responsible for eye fatigue. While on the other hand, the Low Blue Light Technology filters out harmful blue light. According to the company, the Colour Weakness Mode gives students a better perception of natural colour by offering filters for the red colour deficiency (or protanomaly) and the green color deficiency (deuteranomaly).
